About Films That Inspire

Films That Inspire was founded by Michele Bowen who saw what a powerful medium film can be to transform our lives while working as the Director of International Partnerships at The Secret. There, she helped filmmaker and author Rhonda Byrne to set up The Secret's foreign distribution policies, infrastructure and reseller network.

After leaving The Secret, Ms. Bowen served as Vice President of International Sales & Marketing at Arthouse Corporation, the Mexico City-based company which was the Master Distributor of the Spanish version of The Secret in Mexico.  There, she built a global distribution network ‘from scratch' for their catalogue of more than 100 film, music, book and audio CD titles.

Wanting to represent the under-served independent filmmakers who produce spiritual and personal growth films, Ms. Bowen founded Films That Inspire, whose mission is to match filmmakers and authors in this genre with distributors worldwide.  She realizes that the world's citizens are clamoring for help and hope as they see trusted, traditional institutions crumble and their employers file bankruptcy, threatening their careers, financial stability, peace of mind and secure retirement.  As fear is being spread about 2012, Ms. Bowen wants to assist filmmakers and authors in providing us with a source of inspiration, comfort, empowerment, new perspective and alternative choices that spiritual films and books can offer.  The film industry is seeing unprecedented growth in this relatively new spiritual cinema market niche as people awaken and realize that many traditional "blockbusters" are inappropriate for family viewing and often reinforce the violence and fear they want to eliminate from their lives.
